We were discussing how Deryn picks up things and actions by observing the world around her, when my mother mentioned that one of our family friends met Deryn and remarked that Deryn picks up ideas fast by sitting there quietly and listening and watching.  Indeed that is what she does, she is especially excited to see us rushing about going about our daily routines, with her eyes wide opened and her neck arched forward in anticipation.  Sometimes when we are holding her, and having a conversation, she would sit quietly in our arms, then rotate her head to and fro, seemingly to follow the conversation.  She is really learning like a spy, picking up bits and pieces of everyday life actions and storing them in her mind.  Best to watch what we say and do around her.

It is really quite exciting and great joy to see our little cub learning new actions and making new sounds every now and then.

Deryn decided to show off her vocal prowess this evening.  She went "aaahhhhhhhhh" without stopping for a while, and at quite a loud volume too.  Deryn really sounds like she has good lungs, and good stamina.  To further prove her point, she did this for a few times consecutive.  She was not angry or something, just that she likes to make that sound.
