Tenor Guitar is a Sweet Little Axe « Guitar Notebook

The tenor guitar has been re-gaining popularity over the last few years as a folk instrument, finding it's way into blues and celtic as well as folk. Having an affinity for smallish guitars, I was immediately drawn to the tenor, since it has a scale length of around 23 inches. They have a very sweet, slightly tinny kind of sound, and just four strings.

Martin currently makes one – the Martin X Series LXM Tenor Little Martin Guitar, and Blueridge has several models.
