Nuts & Bolts ...... The All Time Favorit Snack Mix

This is my grandmas recipe and whenever i am in Canada i want a bowl of this littel treat as this is something special to me and filled with yummy memories... Plus we don't get the ingredients in Germany so i rarely make it here.... Only when i go to the British food store in Frankfurt

6 cups cheerios
6 cups shreddies
4 cups pretzle sticks
3 cups peanuts
1 1/2 cup butter
2 tbsp worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp celery
2 tbsp onion or garlic powder

Preheat the oven to 200° F. In a large roasting pan, melt butter and worcestershire sauce. Pour in cereal, pretzels and peanuts. Mix celery salt and onion powder and sprinkle mixture over dry ingredients as you put the layers in the pan. Roast for 2 hours, mixing the nuts and bolts every 15 min. For best results store in freezer overnight

Hi

Here another snack mix - this one i got from the Taste of Home bulletin board... it has gotten rave reviews and has many many fans.... again i rarly get the ingredients here.. especially the Orville Redenbach Popcorn Oil which makes all the difference!!!

Out Of This World Snack Mix
10 cups Crispix Cereal
8 cups Honey Graham Cereal
8 cups Bugles
5 cups Goldfish
9 cups Pretzels
2 cans Mixed Nuts
2 (7 oz)packages Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing Mix
2 Bottles Orville Redenbacher Popcorn Oil

(you can half this recipe no problem!)

Dump the first six ingredients into a VERY LARGE roaster. Mix dressing mixes and popcorn oil in a small bowl. Pour over ingredients. Bakes uncovered at 250°F for 1 hour, stirring every 15 min. This makes a huge amount, so you have to have a large raoster to make it in the first place.
Or find something large to mix in and use two pans to bake in.

Enjoy!!
