Zenabel

Ciné-Girl article on Ruggero Deodato's 1969, fumetti-inspired Zenabel, featuring lovely Lucretia Love. It is interesting to note that in this French article a co-director credit if given to Claude Pierson. It is thus tempting to speculate that there may have been a hybrid version made for the belated French release (June 12, 1974), and, considering Pierson's resumé, one can assume that these added scenes were strongly sexual or even pornographic, this added to a movie which features considerable nudity in its original Italian form. Adding to the confusion here is the French co-production company which is called Pierson Productions, which suggests a certain involvement from the start, assuming that Claude Pierson and Pierson Productions are 'related.'
