Duh… to me, that's like saying "the longer you do what you like to do, the more likely you are to keep doing it." That's the plan.
Activity snobs irritate me. I like sitting at my computer and reading or writing or playing games of whatever else this little machine can do. If I were to spend the afternoon hiking or beaching or marketing fleas people would nod in some kind of understandable approval. I don't understand why mental stimulation in one's free time is less valuable than physical stimulation.
Of course it's important to have both – to use all parts of your humanity. But I'll decide how to balance myself thank you.
Sundays are weird days for me. My sweetie's around, which I love on a certain level… but I also need my space on Sunday to do the Bible posts which require some thought – unlike my other posts. I'm committed to the weekly Bible thing and I like doing it, but when I don't get my necessary space I find I am disappointed with the entry. Oh well, there are worse things.
And tonight I have my monthly Sunday gig that I rarely look forward to but am always glad I did. I need new songs though… if I have to f#%&ing sing Unchained Melody one more f#$%ing time… f#%&ing shoot me.
Slow to the joys of drink, I've only recently discovered Hennessy and since I don't have to work tomorrow, tonight might be the perfect night. But how do you order it? Do you order a shot of Hennessy? I'll find out tonight – if they laugh at me, I'll know I did it wrong.
I'm discovering that I like hard liquor. With straight hard liquor you know if it's good. No disguising swill with fruity-vomit-inducing-syrupy-juicy stuff. And with hard liquor, you KNOW you're drinking and may be less inclined to overdo it. 2 shots of Patron are perfect for me, but I can't sing well with it. Tonight we'll see how I do with Hennessy.
The Ex's new girlfriend will be at the gig tonight and I'll have to watch what I say because apparently she is reading into everything I say. I greet her with a friendly "hey, what's up!" and she thinks I think I know something is up.
I've babbled enough… see you tomorrow!
